How to Install BUTT on Mac OS?
If you want to use BUTT on your Mac OS computer, you need to download the disk image file from its official website and mount it by double clicking. Then you need to drag the butt file to the Applications folder.
How to Configure BUTT on Mac OS?
After installing BUTT, you need to configure it to connect to a server. You can open the settings window and click on [ADD] to add a new server. You need to fill in the input fields with the server data, such as address, port, password, mountpoint and stream type. You can also add some stream infos, such as name, description, genre and URL.
To start streaming, you need to select an audio device and a codec in the main window. You can choose between aac+, mp3, ogg/vorbis, ogg/opus and ogg/FLAC for streaming. You can also adjust the bitrate and samplerate according to your preference and network speed. Then you can click on the [>] button to connect to the server and start streaming. The dot matrix display will show you the current state of the butt software and some information about your stream.
If you want to record your session, you can click on the [O] button to start recording. You can choose the recording format and directory in the settings window. You can also enable automatic recording when connecting to a server or when detecting a signal.
